ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY:
  Sharon Miller

Sharon Miller is an artist who works in oils and resides in the town of Galway, New York in Saratoga County.  Sharon’s work, “Spectator”, is part of the permanent collection of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, New York.  Many individuals have identified with this Rockwellian piece.  Two other Saratoga themed works include, “Between Races”, and “Grand Olde Saratoga”.  “Grand Olde Saratoga” features the historical Saratoga Vichy horse pulled delivery wagon in front of the Grand Union Hotel.  “Between Races” provides a snapshot of the vintage popcorn stand seen at the racetrack.

Sharon produces a variety of work other than the Saratoga themed works that includes modern images usually with a personal story attached.  Her work often centers on issues of importance to her and society as a whole.  Some of Sharon’s pieces display obvious humor. Portraits of people and horses are common subjects in Sharon’s work.
