Sharon Miller Art

I spent my summer on a remote farm in the foothills of the Appalachians. My photos depict country life on a family farm.

My favorite photos are close up shots of flowers, chain saw carvings and country items.

I also enjoy photos that show farming in action; newly bailed hay, hay bails, and farm machinery provide good subjects for my photos.

There has been a resurgence in the appreciation of the disappearing lifestyle my photos depict. We are reminded of the slower and simpler existence of our ancestors. The absence of modern day conveniences and technology as well as the hardships are evident in my photos.
